50 SONGS LEVEL 1 is the first part of three separate programs to help take you from ‘end of beginner’ level to a high intermediate level.

• 1. Develop your technique to a decent 8th note level…..think of the bass lines on I SAW HER STANDING THERE or SHAKE A TAILFEATHER. Uptempo, constant 8ths notes with dynamic use of the fretting hand.
• 2. Understand and be able to play/use the foundational 10 devices in the bass players vocabulary. Additionally this level will introduce a couple of connecting devices and a modifying device or two.
• 3. Know how to put lines together using this material.
