• ‘BEGINNER’ Band In A Box Lessons: how to set up Band In A Box so you can start using it for practice. This section will cover the basics like setting up chord progressions, choosing styles, changing key, changing tempo, using the mixer, muting tracks and so on.
• ‘INTERMEDIATE’ Band In A Box Lessons: this is the meat of the course…showing you how to set up Band In A Box to help with learning complex lines (complex as defined by you); how to use Band In A Box to work on your time and groove; how to use Band In A Box to create deliberate compositions; how to create your own drum styles to work on specific rhythms; creating chordal metronomes and harmonic metronomes, creating hybrid styles by using instruments from different groupings, and more.
• ‘ADVANCED’ Band In A Box Lessons: in the advanced section we’re going to work on topics like using Band in a Box to generate sight reading etudes, creating your own styles to create bass lines as well as sight reading etudes, using third party drum loops for specific (and more authentic sounding) sub-styles.
• Cycle Tracks And Common Chord Progressions: in this section I’ll share with you Band In A Box ‘songs’ that you can download and use as templates for your own practice. These are 12 and 6 bar cycle tracks, plus common chord progressions and two chord progressions.
• My Favourite Styles: there are three different levels of the program that you might have….the basic has a number of styles, the advanced has all the styles. If you have the basic, you can expand your palette by buying individual styles to add on (though note that some of them work with specific versions of Band In A Box).
• BONUS: Original Band In A Box For Bass Players PDF – in members area to download now!
• BONUS: Series of lessons showing how to create your own styles to use Band In A Box as an ear training tool. You could do this with rhythms or harmonic content. I’ll demonstrate with the first 10 devices from the 80-20 Bass Library.
• BONUS: Bass Player Styles created by me. As well as showing you how to create your own styles, I’ll share 5 of the styles I’ve created that you can download, load into band in a box and start using to create bass lines and sight reading etudes.
